Some might think an engagement session in Cedar Rapids, Iowa means flat fields, tall grass, and endless corn. But it doesn’t have to be that way, especially when there are places like Palisades-Kepler State Park.

As a Cedar Rapids engagement and wedding photographer, Palisades-Kepler is one of my favorite locations to shoot at! Autumn colors bring a stunning backdrop to any engagement session, but paired with the tall rocks, sandy beach, and beautiful water Palisades-Kepler has to offer, it’s almost like you’ve gone from Iowa to Colorado!

What a privilege it is to just hang out for a couple hours capturing the unhindered joy of two people who are in love just being able to be themselves around each other. No awkwardness. No stiffness. Just pure happiness.
